About us

Corporate by day, wood enthusiast by night.

I'm Adam. With a CNC machine in my parents' garage, I'm trying to take the cool wooden products market by storm. Possible power outages in your area. All my competition has a section called "About us", so I thought I'd need one too.

The team

Apart from myself

Support and advisory

My wife, who is always a great supporter and advisor. My dad also often joins me in the workshop to look at what's going on, gives me a hand and advice when I need one.

Catering and supervision

My mom makes sure I don't dehydrate or starve in the process. The chickens and bees also like to check on me to see if I'm being lazy - my dad's a beekeeper, so if you're looking for some premium honey, let me know.

Quality assurance

My two cats always perform quality control on the new products I bring home. If they sign off, you know it’s genuinely top tier.

The idea

One place for everything

Most of what makes a desk tiring is small. Where does this go? Where did I put that? Which of these pens works? None of it is hard, but each one is a decision, and they add up. I give every object one obvious place, so those questions stop coming up. What you get back is the occasional moment to look up and notice the coffee, the light, the person talking to you.

  • 1. Everything has one place to live, so the desk stops asking you where things go.
  • 2. Putting something back is a small, physical end to a task, which makes it easier to move on.
  • 3. Every piece has the same corner, so what you add later fits with what you already own.
  • 4. Solid oak, made by hand in my workshop, and nice to pick up.
